If you’ve been a reader of my blog for sometime you may remember I had attempted to lose the “baby weight” sometime ago. Well it has been well over a year since I’ve had my daughter and I’m still carrying around 10lbs. Ugh!
I was approached by Nicco from The Brave Lifestyle to try out his fitness program, and I was totally in! Nicco is the brains (and muscles) behind this amazing online and mobile company that specializes in weight loss. I was given an at home exercise program and meal plan for a month. Its a totally cool and new way of training.
Our first meeting and assessment was done through a video chat, he was so helpful with everything. We went over all the exercises I’d be doing and made sure I had the correct form. Then I logged into the app which has a calendar, your workout videos, stats, and your meal plan. I am also able to message him any time through the app with any questions I have, which is pretty handy. Here is how the program works:
- 4 phases (4 months).
- Workouts are 3-5 days a week for 40-50 minutes, (warm up technique & cool down stretching included).
- Registered Dietitian designs your meal plan that includes: a grocery list, portion guide, recipes, & a special feature you will love.

I’ve been doing this program for 2 weeks now and here is what’s happened.
2 Week Results
I lost 3 lbs and my clothes fit so much better! Nothing drastic. I’m not saying my clothes are loose or anything. But I can definitely feel it in my work pants, they’re not as tight and I don’t feel as bloated. I feel like I have more energy (as much energy as a mom of a toddler can have, of course 😉 )
It hasn’t been easy. I’m used to eating pretty much whatever I want and I love sweets, so changing up my eating habits has totally been the hardest part of all of this. For the most part I feel like I’ve been doing good. However, I have indulged in some fries, a drink here and there and maybe some pan dulce (sweet Mexican bread) But even then, I still managed to lose 3 lbs. Which I’m happy with.
A small win for me, on top of the 3 lb loss has been seeing my improvement in the workouts. I can do (girl) push ups now!!! I also love burpees. Like, that’s crazy – because the only workouts I enjoy are dance and Kettlebell training. So, that says a lot.

Plan & Goals
So my plan is to continue to lose weight and get stronger. I’d like to lose 15 lbs total. Give or take, depending on how I’m feeling. I’m not looking to be skinny, I want to be healthy and fit. I want to build healthy habits, and this program is teaching me that.
